This is a document by FlowSoft and is designed to incorporate Frequently Asked Questions or FAQs in one location. FAQs are designed to answer questions about the ORIFICE for Windows program and flow element sizing in general.
This help file is divided into several sections as described below. To switch to a particular section, click on the [Contents] tab in the left window and then double-click on the desired book.
This file uses applets and as such may take several seconds to load. If the window on the left is blank, wait until it displays. You may not have an hourglass but the program is not locked, it is working internally. The response will depend on your modem or connection speed but will typically only be a few seconds.
You can also click on the [Index] tab and search for your particular question.
Suggestion: If this document does not fill your computer screen, point to the lower right corner of the window. When the mouse pointer turns into a diagonal up/down arrow, left click and drag the window to an appropriate size. Let the mouse button up to set the window size. You can also click on the Maximize button at the top right side of the title bar. The Program Installation Question section deals with questions involving the actual installation of the program. If you are unable to get the program installed or can not get the program to run to the main data screen, start in this section.
The Configuration section deals with setup and configuration issues.
The Program Operation Questions section deals with questions running or operating the program. After you can launch the program and get to the main data screen, without error messages, start in this section.
The Engineering or Technical Questions section deals with engineering related questions about flow element sizing. Be sure and read the legal fine print before relying on any information found in this or any other section of this help file. Click here to read our legal disclaimer.

The Troubleshooting section deals with resolving problems in the operation of the program.
The Utilities section deals with miscellaneous operations or software that is not normally shipped with the program. Also included are links to download additional software which may be used with the ORIFICE program.
